Job Description

SUMMARY

The Manager, Media role is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the company’s institutional and paid media plans. They will also play a key role by working across the company in support of the company’s marketing plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, conceive, and implement multi-channel plans of company owned and paid media
  • Effectively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with external media agency partners and broader marketing team to provide tracking, valuation, recommendation for improved strategies and provide post reporting
  • Stay up-to-date on current media trends including potential new channels and strategies
  • Oversee delivery of creative to internal and external partners
  • Act as liaison with NASCAR broadcast and media partners
  • Coordinate with Manager, Brand Marketing on creative asset delivery
  • Support budget management
  • Collaborate with broader marketing team in development of overall marketing campaigns and strategy
  • Day to day project management, applying strong leadership and communication skills
  • Travel: 10% including some weekends

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervises assigned staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four (4) year college or university and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in media planning, consumer marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the sports and/or consumer brand preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS                                       

  • Proficient in all company provided software. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in digital ad platforms including Twitter, Facebook/Instagram and Google/YouTube.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional team and interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of Integrated Media Planning
  • Competency in ads platforms for Twitter, Facebook/Instagram and Google/YouTube including search
  • Experience and proficiency in consumer marketing on social media platforms
  • Superior follow-through with a high-level of accountability for assigned tasks
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and passion for marketing and sports
  • Ability to help organize, draft and deliver presentations to department leadership and industry partners
