Job Description

IMSA seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Series Manager, IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup based in our Daytona Beach, FL corporate office. This position is Responsible for overall program management of the Porsche GT3 Cup Series for both US and Canada Championships, including procedures, event staffing, budget management, as well as competitor and industry relations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Liaison with series entrants in office, at events and at their respective places of business.

Work in conjunction with IMSA Logistics to coordinate and communicate pre-event and event series logistics.

Coordinate all Porsche GT3 Series activities while providing a constant flow of communication to Competition, Communication, Administration, Marketing, and Porsche Motorsports North America (PMNA)

Responsible oversight of the program budgets, auditing expenses to ensure they are both valid and reasonable

Key point of contact for existing and potential IMSA entrants. Act as a clearing house / match maker placing Drivers with prospective Teams

Be a constant “presence” in the paddock, providing a trusted and respected point of contact for all stakeholders. Communicate the vision of IMSA and Porsche GT3 Cup Series while being a source of unfiltered, accurate stakeholder feedback to senior IMSA management

Approximate travel 40%, including +/-15 weekends

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises assigned staff.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one year or more of professional motorsports participation or management experience and/or OEM training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
