Role Overview

As the Manager, Global Aftersales Parts Supply Chain, you will provide service parts supply chain expertise and inspiring leadership on a global level.  This will include driving optimal service levels through managing supplier partners and on time delivery of parts to Fisker facilities.    This position will play a key role in driving continuous improvement (Kaizen) throughout Fisker’s global service parts supply chain.  You will ensure a continuous supply of parts to ensure Fisker customers experience optimal joy in our vehicles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right parts are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required in the most cost effective and environmentally friendly way. You will oversee and use supply network planning tools to create a continuous flow of parts and achieve faster lead times and reduced inventory levels.

Additionally, you will champion multiple initiatives including developing systems and tools for forecasting, demand planning, purchasing and delivery of service parts. You will lead the creation and implementation of best practices in supply chain vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement (KPI’s), comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Manages a team of buyers focusing on chassis, body, powertrain, and EE.
  • Negotiates prices for parts and accessories and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring a balance of quality, cost, and delivery.  Executes continuous improvement by using the PDCA process.
  • Create and manage a daily KPI dashboard to monitor the status of parts deliveries and inventory levels at all facilities.  Develop countermeasure processes to ensure an uninterrupted supply of parts.
  • Develop and manage a critical and emergency order and delivery process for critical car down situations.

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • 10 years of combined experience in automobile service parts, supply chain. management and purchasing.  
  • Experienced in SAP for demand planning, forecasting, and purchasing.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with the procurement lifecycle.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in the EBOM and SBOM process.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and track record to develop and deliver optimized supply chain solutions.
  • Automotive aftersales operations experience working in service parts, cross-functional teams, managing programs, and process development (SOP’s).
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with parts suppliers, vendors, logistics partners and customers.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Sharepoint. Power BI experience a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Fluent spoken and written English. Multilingual ability a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in PDCA process.
