Role Purpose
To work under the guidance of the Financial Director and the UK Head of Finance to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting each month, quarter, year. Assist with the monthly/quarterly forecasting and budgeting process.
Supporting day to day financial needs helping deliver on Budget and KPI targets and to flag/analyse/help resolve any issues in achieving this in consultation with the Finance Director.
This is a role to work closely with a fast growing division of the company. The business units within it incorporate the digital news platforms, print titles, as well as photography and image syndication. There will be significant headcount in this division.
This is a pivotal time for Motorsport Games as we continue to build industry leading partnerships to develop the finest games and esports events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the Management accounting activities.
- Completion of all monthly US parent reporting templates.
- Ability to analytically interpret the data and what that means operationally and for revenues/costs.
- To help continue the development of and maintain an appropriate control environment to prevent / mitigate financial and associated business risks in line with the MSN accounting handbook processes.
- To action and monitor any ad-hoc / additional reporting as required.
- Monthly management accounts pack on time each month in both UK and US. (PL, Balance Sheet)
- Help develop UK management reporting to be more dynamic and insightful.
- Close monitoring and reconciliation of all revenues and costs across the business.
- Propose and implement improvements in process.
Key Deliverables:
- A good understanding of the need for well-organized administration, process discipline, controls and best practice in finance.
- Ability to cross reference data sources alongside financial including Google Analytics, Dashboards
- Ability to handle a wide range of issues and multiple projects simultaneously, managing to tight deadlines.
- Someone who demonstrates ambition for company success and helps others to succeed.
- Knowledge of the gaming/esports industry would be valuable but not essential.
- Digital Media transactional experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Part Qualified accountant
- A good understanding of the need for well-organized administration, process discipline, controls and best practice in finance.

Knowledge Required:
- Balance sheet reconciliations and management
- Intercompany accounting preferable
- Netsuite accounting system would be advantageous.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience of working in a finance team preparing management accounts.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum Part Qualified/Finalist accountant with 3+ years’ experience.
