Job Description

The position will be responsible to perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance on all of our production equipment for all divisions Appleton, with a primary focus in the Components Division.

Essential Functions:

  • Have a strong mechanical ability
  • Knowledgeable in basic mathematical skills to calculate dimensions and verify measurements.
  • Understand the basic principles of hydraulics/pneumatics as to their impact on operation and maintenance involving machine tools.
  • Able to measure work pieces with standard inch and metric graduated measuring tools using basic measuring techniques
  • Knowledge in mechanical power transmission, Belt Drives, Chain Drives, Gear Drives
  • Troubleshoot complex machines
  • Requires the ability to work in a fast paced- high demanding environment
  • Ability to prioritize and make appropriate decisions
  • Self-starter and a team player
  • Able to communicate effectively, in a professional manner with customers and vendors.
  • Communicate using verbal and written skills in ways that honor diversity.
  • Practice safe work habits.
  • Proven track record of attention to detail, good follow thru and effective resolution to problems

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to enroll in and complete the State of Wisconsin Maintenance Mechanic Apprenticeship Program
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Use computers, small hand and torque tools, scales, calculators, and rulers
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers in a team environment
  • Prioritize workload to meet daily and weekly production goals
  • Ensure that assigned area is organized
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to successfully complete and maintain Orange Cart, Scissors Lift, Forklift, Lockout Tagout, and Arc Flash training is required
