Maintenance - Building and Grounds Event Worker

Located within five hours (300 miles) of 25 percent of the U.S. population, Watkins Glen International is the premier road racing facility in North America, three-times voted “Best NASCAR Track” by readers of USA Today. The Glen hosts a diverse portfolio of premier sports car, open wheel and stock car races throughout the year.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day upkeep for the facilities & grounds including but not limited to cleaning, painting, mowing, trimming.
  • Operate a variety of equipment as it pertains to the maintenance of building and grounds such as but not limited to tractors, mowers, snow removing equipment, back hoes, and lifts.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
  • Assist with Track maintenance as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Maintain a valid Drivers License.

Work and Physical Requirements

  • Hours will vary but will include all hours of operation, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary to attend events and to fulfill job responsibilities. Acceptance of work hours customary in the field of sport/entertainment is necessary.
