LICENSING COORDINATOR INTERNSHIP

As part of McLaren Racing’s Partnerships team, the Licensing and Merchandise team operates a broad and diverse consumer merchandise and licensed product programme through its partners, authorised resellers, B2B activities and an expanding eCom business.

 

The purpose of the role is to support the Licensing Team in the day to day running of the department and will be split across Licensing and B2B sales. The role will involve working with a wide variety of contacts at all levels – across the business internally with Marketing, Racing and Automotive and with License and Sponsor partners. This role is a 12 month internship, ideal for an undergraduate seeking a placement year or a recent graduate, working fulltime 9.00am - 6.00pm on a hybrid model.

 

Main Duties and responsibilities :

 

B2B Operations Co Ordinator (50% of role)

Reporting into the B2B Sales and Special projects Manager you will be responsible for critical administrative and operational tasks that are fundamental to the successful running of our B2B sales division ensuring that our partner orders are processed and fulfilled on schedule.

Daily:

  • Process product purchasing from suppliers and licensees , planning delivery intake schedules, stock transfers and other operational/distribution tasks
  • Process all relevant systems work related to partner orders across purchase orders, Goods receipting, and sales orders
  • Maintain and update B2B order processing tracker
  • Process order dispatch and logistics for global partners

Weekly:

  • Maintain and update the B2B sales platform
  • Data management and update of team documents for weekly review
  • Critical paths
  • Delivery schedules
  • Range plans
  • Launch plans

 

Licensing Co Ordinator (50% of role)

Reporting into Licensing Specialist you will support on the day to day tasks across specific license partners across our portfolio of partners, Your key responsibilities will be the management of key documents that ensure that critical paths are adhered to, brand approvals are processed on time and successful product launches are delivered to market.

Daily

  • Support in the day-to-day management of licensees, including: Product and concept development 
  • Coordinating approvals of Brand IP, marketing and promotional activity
  • Overall administrative responsibilities for the team including upkeep of licensee trackers delivering timely communication and feedback
  • Processing of internal and external F1 product orders and other ad-hoc requests

Weekly

  • Maintain the team Licensing folder on SharePoint, ensuring all current documents are added to the library to enable easy reference for the team.

  • Undertake market analysis, researching trends within the fashion, Motorsport / international sports and wider licensing landscape to identify new merchandise categories, to help maintain awareness of trends and commercial landscape to help inform our strategy
