NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Licensing Assistant, Licensing and Consumer Products based in our Charlotte office. 

The Licensing Assistant, Licensing and Consumer Products supports the department lead on Premiums business including management of partnerships with Staples and G&G. 

This position will assist in the creation and assembly of internal department communications specifically Licensing Loop and Hologram Rewards Newsletter and this role will work across all Account Executives to source and position content to support the promotion of all licensing initiatives. 

In conjunction with the department lead for respective categories, this role will also manage the administration of State license plate program, Art, and Publishing categories. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Day to day liaison with licensed premiums partners; works with internal and external parties to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of branded premiums. Manages the approval process for all Premiums.
  • Develops and maintains yearly content calendar. Assumes responsibility for day to day content development and distribution on behalf of the Licensing department.
  • Attends key social media strategy meetings and is responsible for staying up-to-date on industry trends; shares best practices with department.
  • New Business - Securing new business for the assigned categories; meeting annual business goals.
  • Assists Account Executives in identifying and researching new business opportunities.
  • Account duties include but are not limited to the following: contract negotiations, contract renewals, financial forecasting and quarterly royalty reviews, face-to-face meetings with partners, industry interaction, marketing and PR planning, product approval, retail support, etc.
  • Manage royalty revenue, accounts receivable, legal queue and other similar reporting procedures.
  • Approvals - Manage the online approvals system for designated licensees.
  • VIK (Value in Kind) product-tracking for assigned licensees.
  • Assist in securing credentials / ticket requests.
  • Percent of travel: 5%, including weekend travel

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two year licensing / legal / administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Familiarity with social media including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software. Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or Illustrator software is a plus.
