Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year 

Salary: £25,678 - £35,776 per annum plus a Specialist Skills Shortage Bonus of £3,000 per year, pro rata (Dependant on skills, qualifications & experience) 

Campus: Castle Combe and Chippenham, Wiltshire 

 

About the Role

We are currently looking for a new Motorsport Engineering Lecturer to work with our students on a full time basis. 

This course has mix of practical and theoretical content, and we are looking for someone with up to date and relevant industry experience that they can bring to the role. Lecturing Further and Higher Education across two campuses (Chippenham and Castle Combe) . If you do not hold a teaching qualification, we will place you through our staff development programme to work towards a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent.

Working within our busy Engineering Department you will deliver teaching, learning and assessments to help our students to reach their potential and to achieve their target grades.  You will design engaging lesson and offer guidance and support to help and motivate all your students within Motorsport. Within the Role you would be expected to attend race weekends with the race teams along with other members of team.

About You

To apply for the role, you will either be an experienced lecturer within the Engineering sector or be an industry expert who is looking to move into teaching for the first time.  We can support you in your personal development and guide you through your journey into teaching with our ‘Transition to Teaching’ support package. We do ask that you have a minimum degree level qualification in the motorsport/automotive engineering sector.

With an enthusiastic, motivated and engaging approach you will have the practical skills to energise students and support them to realise their goals.  We are interested in hearing from individuals who are effective team players, keen to build relationships that will enrich the student experience.
