We have a great opportunity based at our Bedford campus for a Lecturer in Engineering to become a key member of our Engineering department.
As a Lecturer in Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
- Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses including Level 6 top-ups
- Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential
- Managing students’ learning and providing a high quality learning experience
- Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching
- Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
Our ideal candidates will have experience of ability to teach Mechanical Engineering at Level 6, to include Mechanical principles of solids and machines Ability to teach on a variety of Engineering pathways from L3-L6, including HNC/D and BSc programs, alongside the following qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Certificate in Education or equivalent or willingness to achieve
- English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year
