THE ROLE
We’re looking to appoint a Lead Rally2 Engineer to oversee technical support and development of our most successful global rally car, the Ford Fiesta Rally2. Enhancing relationships amongst our championship-winning customers, the Lead Rally2 Engineer will provide detailed diagnosis alongside innovative development to the very highest standard whilst playing a pivotal role in future success.
The role responsibilities include:

Delivering innovative engineering solutions from initial concepts through to production.

Support the Programme Manager in achieving business targets.

Ensure the car complies with FIA technical regulations.

Mentoring and leading Junior Engineers.

Creating high quality technical documentations and details of technical upgrades and release to the customers.

Identifying potential performance or reliability improvements.

Managing project workloads to suit defined deadlines.

Providing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve the project and product performance.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player working together with an enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude – whilst sharing the determination to deliver the very best results.
You should be educated to either a MEng or BEng degree level in Motorsport or Automotive Engineering and have a thorough understanding of motor vehicles and their systems.
Knowledge of the latest manufacturing techniques and materials is essential.
You should have experience of data logging and analysis software and be confident in delivering a consistently high level of performance and quality in a time-sensitive environment.
You should be well organised, and delivery focused, with a strong analytical approach and meticulous attention to detail.
You should be able to produce technical documents and have excellent interpersonal skills – capable of building strong relationships while always offering a professional image.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar chassis engineering role in motorsport. This can include: Rallying or Racing.
