Lead CFD Process Engineer

The position:

Our CFD process is right at the heart of the aerodynamic design of the car. And with the right processes, we can ensure we are fully exploiting our CFD technologies to drive performance forward. We have an exciting new opportunity for a talented individual to take this area of the team to the next level.

Key operational duties:

Leads a group of CFD engineers to develop the overall architecture for an optimised end-to-end CFD process
Collaborates with stakeholders across aerodynamic development, CFD correlation and CFD methodology to understand work-flow requirements and opportunities
Works with hardware, software and process engineers to develop technical solutions for the CFD workflow using the latest technologies

Credentials:

A proven track record delivering projects across the CFD workflow including some management experience.
A minimum of 7 years experience, including time within a senior role and ideally within F1.
Knowledge of applications across the complete CFD workflow (eg  StarCCM+, OpenFOAM, ParaView, CAD)
Coding experience with Python, C#, Java, and Unix shell scripting or similar
Some knowledge of current HPC systems, batch scheduling systems, interconnect, and GPU processing would be beneficial.
