Role Overview

Working within the Technical Integration team, this role will report to the Technical Integration Senior Manager, located in Graz, Austria. The Body Interior / Exterior Lead will work onsite with our business partner and their Engineering & Manufacturing team to support the Launch and Serial Production of the Fisker Ocean. This role will require demonstrated outstanding skills in analysis, critical thinking, root cause issue investigation, conflict management and risk management. You will work across the organization and functions so cross functional working is a key requirement.

This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. A successful candidate needs to thrive in a pressurized environment using data and facts to help identify risks, manage resources and solve problems quickly and effectively. A strong team ethic with the ability to interact at all levels and across business boundaries is required to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of Body Interior / Exterior Systems & Components and integrate the product into the Plant. Ensure manufacturability of final design and develop solutions and build containments.
  • Support the Engineering team by coordinating build phases with our manufacturing partner. Lead and support Fisker Launch System activities at the manufacturing site beyond Start of Production.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the products and processes by challenging the status quo
  • Lead Issue Management and resolution on all aspects at system level in line with timing to drive success at gateways
  • Support all builds as onsite lead, review and approve incoming parts for use and support launch meetings as required.
  • Drive the Engineering team to achieve seamless connectivity between Development and Manufacturing
  • Collect and prepare launch reports for senior review
  • Support the operational and launch quality team with initiatives that deliver the Launch successfully
  • Assist and support cross functional teams to resolve any outstanding issues using robust audit and problem solving techniques relevant to the Module area.
  • Track and resolve JIRA issues during each build phase via scorecard and actively drive the teams to achieve targets
  • Undertake any other work as directed by the line manager in connection with the job

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with Engineering systems and processes, change management, deviations, line trials etc. Interface between the various involved parties (Engineering, Programme, Logistics, Purchasing, Manufacturing, etc).
  • Ability to work well in an integrated collaborative team environment including daily interactions with technicians, engineers and managers.
  • Relevant experience in the automotive sector within a variety of Interior and /or Exterior systems (eg. IP&Console, Seats, Lighting, Interior Trim, Safety, Bumper, Fender, Spoiler, Exterior Trim etc); experience in an EV environment is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of 6 Sigma or 8D problem solving methodologies.
  • Experience using automotive tools for product development and issue resolution is preferred (eg. JIRA, Teamcenter, Matlab, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DOEs, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, etc.)
  • Understanding of health and safety processes & procedures
  • Applicants must be computer literate and have knowledge of relevant business systems (e.g. Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc)
  • Candidates must demonstrate drive, initiative and strong analytical skills
  • Fluent in English (German is an advantage)
  • Can form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Relevant previous experience of Product Development & Design / Launch/ Quality / Manufacturing / Production Processes
  • Knowledge of whole vehicle development processes, milestones and deliverables is an advantage

Additional Requirements

Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.

Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends where needed to meet deadlines and company goals. Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required
