Your responsibilities

The Key Account Sales Specialist is a key contributing member of the sales team who works side by side with Key Account Managers on larger accounts and may manage smaller accounts on their own. In this role you will: Perform in-depth analysis of assigned key account customers and detailed reporting on their Purchases across all product segments and distribution channels, identifying areas of strength or weakness in relation to the market potential and developing strategies to contribute to targeted revenue and margin growth. Partner with Marketing and Product Management on go-to-market plans for new products Assist in the establishment, development and maintenance of strategic partnerships with assigned customers Collaborate with Key Account Managers to develop individual customer sales strategies in line with company goals and may lead the development of strategies for smaller accounts Participate in review of annual revenue targets for customers, potentially negotiating co-op, volume rebate and other agreements for assigned accounts Develop expertise regarding Bilstein product, market/ market segments, distribution channels and relevant competition. Assist in providing in-depth competitive market (segment) analysis Conduct customer visits and attend relevant trade shows to represent Bilstein, gather market feedback on competitors as well as our own performance. Assists in conducting product training seminars provided by our Bilstein Academy for customers' sales force and potentially at trade shows / events. Monitor assigned customer demand vs. forecast vs. inventory levels Participate in Sales and production planning processes Help provide frequent forecasting data to production planning group. Participates in maintaining customer pricing in line with company strategy; monitor assigned customers' compliance with Bilstein's MAP Policy Help develop contractual agreements in consultation with Key Account Managers and collaborate with Project Management for customers requiring private label/ proprietary products. Provide tertiary sales and technical service support via phone and e-mail; assist in maintaining CRM database for required support.

Your profile

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Automotive aftermarket industry distribution and sales experience
  • Understanding of sales (B2B) and product cycles with proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Possess a tenacious and aggressive “hunter” mentality
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Sales professional with the ability to quickly build rapport and develop lasting customer relationships
  • Strong presentation, relationship and networking skills
  • Moderate SAP, Excel and CRM skills and ability to quickly learn new software;
  • Technical automotive and automotive suspension knowledge desirable
  • Passion for automobiles, the automotive industry, motorsports (on and off road), overlanding etc. preferred.
  • AA required, Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in technical distribution or technical direct sales
