Your Responsibilities

Key Account Sales Manager, Aftermarket, Import Specialty Accounts for thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc., in Poway, California.

Duties:

  • Manage and strategically grow import specialist Wholesale Distributor (WD) key customer base, and define and develop sales strategies for automotive aftermarket shock absorbers, including driving sales volumes and revenues in-line with growth expectations and strategic objectives
  • Conduct market research and optimize special net customer pricing and discount structures while maintaining MAPP integrity
  • Implement and optimize BI Tool “Qlik Sense” for detailed market segment analyses, including segment-specific trends, sales volumes, revenues, margins, and turns
  • Steer segment and customer-specific budget and production planning, and compile customer and market data
  • Participate in trade shows and customer and consumer events, and conduct customer-specific product trainings
  • 40% domestic and international travel.

Your Profile

Requirements:

  • Master Degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or Economics, or foreign equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a sales management or project analysis position in the automotive aftermarket shock absorber industry (or alternatively Bachelor Degree and 5 years of applicable work experience)
  • 2 years of experience with: calculating cost and profitability break-downs of components for customer special order automotive aftermarket shock absorber projects
  • Assisting in the development of segment and customer-specific marketing programs for automotive aftermarket shock absorbers, including advising marketing personnel regarding customer types, market segments, and technical data gained by interpreting engineering drawings
  • Utilizing SAP system to analyze product and customer data, to conduct GAP analyses, and to develop new sales opportunities in the import specialist automotive aftermarket shock absorber OE Replacement, Performance Car and Performance Truck segments
  • Analyzing the effects of international grey market distribution patterns on the flow of goods affecting automotive aftermarket parts distribution customers in North America
  • Utilizing import-specific automotive manufacturer chassis codes to correctly identify relevant applications, and to develop market appropriate pricing and discount structures for the different wholesale, retail and independent installer distribution levels.
