Kart Retail POS Cashier

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Kart Retail POS Cashier position consists of constant teamwork and communication. Responsible for meeting customer needs and provide services beyond customer’s expectations.

Essential Functions

  • Greet Customers and direct them to different locations around the park.
  • Promote Sales and upcoming events.
  • Answer phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Educate customers on the rules and safety regulations of karting.
  • Use hand-‐held radios to communicate with other team employees and managers.
  • Responsible for getting customers to register, sign waiver and banded before riding on Kart.
  • Responsible for retail store, inventory, refunds, cash handling and sale transactions.
  • Maintain retail area clean and safe at all times.

Work Environment

This job performs primarily in an indoor setting. Will have occasional work in an outdoor setting. Need to have the ability to work in adverse weather conditions and stand for long periods of time in a fast-‐paced environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-‐time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Sunday during business hours with 4 to 8 hour shifts. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED diploma or equivalent number of years’ experience.

Preferred Experience

1 to 2 years experience in a customer service or retail setting.
