Kart Grid Crew Member

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Kart Grid position consists of constant teamwork and communication. Responsible to make sure all customers are following the proper procedures during karting sessions and understand the briefing.

Essential Functions

  • Check and maintain that the pit area is clean and ready for when the park
  • Fuel and wash karts on a daily basis during opening
  • Once grid opens and heats are scheduled, the responsibility of the Grid Crew Member is to interact with customers and begin briefing, issue and assist with helmets, direct customers to assigned
  • On flag station, use color-‐coded flags to properly communicate track conditions to karts on the
  • Shares continual responsibility for helping identify incidents and issues on track and ensuring it is properly communicated
  • Adheres to work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards, procedures and strategic
  • Use hand-‐held radios to communicate with other team employees and
  • Ability to work outdoors and in a fast-‐paced team

Work Environment

This job performs in an outdoor setting. Need to have the ability to work in adverse weather conditions and stand for long periods of time in a fast-‐paced environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-‐time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Sunday during business hours with 4 to 8 hour shifts. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED diploma or equivalent number of years’ experience.

Preferred Experience

  • 1 to 2 years experience in a customer service or retail setting.
