About The Role

To help deliver against this global vision we are seeking a Junior Electronics Systems Engineer to join the Formula 1 Electronics department.
This role will report into the Electronics Development Manager and assist the department in producing a wide range of customised and bespoke solutions to support the timing, televising and organisation of Formula 1 events.
This is a varied and rewarding role where proactivity and initiative are always required. Based at our Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, be part of the exhilarating environment of F1.
The Role:
The role focuses on designs through the complete lifecycle, from requirements capture through to deployment and support, with an emphasis on data analysis and transformation from a wide variety of sources, including telemetry data and timing data.
- To be able to help architect systems, interface with internal stakeholders, generate and perform testing on new products, and be able to support and debug systems out in the field.
- Research and quickly learn new technologies, processes, strategies, and tools to meet project requirements.
- Participate in meetings and attend workshops or other training initiatives.
- To always operate safely in line with Company health and safety requirements.
About You
You will be highly motivated and flexible to change. Your calm, logical approach to problem solving will stand you in good stead.
- Educated to degree level in electronics, mechatronics or electrical.
- Subject knowledge across telecommunications, programming, hardware design.
- Design and build of projects within the electronics domain.
- Ideally knowledge of Python, C, Linux, and schematic capture/PCB design.
- Operate effectively in a high pressured and challenging environment.
- Be willing and able to travel internationally (organised by the company).
- Hold a valid UK driving licence.
