Lifeline Fire & Safety Systems is the leading manufacturer of fire suppression systems and safety equipment to the motorsport and defence sectors. We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Design Assistant Engineer to join our team in Coventry. Lifeline operates within all categories of the global motorsport sector and works with many of the world’s leading teams and constructors covering all categories of the sport from Formula 1 through to World Rally.
A commitment to in house research and development that spans nearly 25 years continues with the appointment of a Technical Design Assistant. Providing support to our Design Engineering team, you will be able to produce good quality engineering drawings using Auto-Cad, as well as producing data sheets, BOMs and other documentation required for our own quality systems.
An exciting opportunity to develop with a leading manufacturer in the industry whilst working with many of the world’s leading teams’ constructors and OEMs. You will be involved in testing and validation of new products as well as in producing concepts and designs for future products.
A good communicator, organised, a positive self-starter with a passion for design and well-developed problem-solving skills, you are likely to be an engineering graduate or have an equivalent qualification. You will have at least one years’ experience of component design, possible through a placement year and are likely to have a passion for this fast-moving sector.
There is also the chance to be involved in Lifelines own motorsport activities, with the build, running and driving of our in house Enduro KA along with the design and build of a car for an attempt at Pikes peak in 2025 and our current historic motorsport activities.
