Junior Accountant - Motorsport Games

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to work under the guidance of the Finance Manager to assist in the timely and accurate financial reporting each month, quarter and year. The Games division of the business is growing fast and we need support with the various subsidiaries within the Games group.

Motorsport Games is a video games company with major offices in Miami, Orlando, London, Silverstone and Moscow with a large network of remote developers and support staff located around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the production of the monthly accounts
  • Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Ability to analytically interpret the data and what that means operationally and for revenues/costs.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of an appropriate control environment to prevent/mitigate financial and associated business risks in line with the MotorSport Network accounting processes
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register
  • Control and processing of the credit card account
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
  • Setup payments
  • Monthly reports
  • Respond/resolve queries
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assist with AR when required

Key Deliverables:

  • Management Accounts completed in line with group timetable.
  • Help develop UK management reporting to be more dynamic and insightful.
  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and associated analysis eg Aging of Receivable and Payables, Accruals 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • AAT qualified or studying towards a recognise accountancy qualification.
  • A good understanding of the need for well-organized administration, process discipline, controls and best practice in finance.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Someone who demonstrates ambition for company success and helps others to succeed.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Knowledge Required:

  • General accounting procedures/knowledge
  • Proficient in data entry and management accounting
  • Accounts payable experience
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • NetSuite accounting system would be advantageous but not essential

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum AAT/Part Qualified with 2+ years’ experience in accounting environment
