Role Purpose:
The motion designer will need to work very closely with the VFX supervisor to aid in the creation of graphics for television programming, social video and promotional purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a general 2D design capacity across the entire graphics production pipeline
- Create eye catching 2D graphic design and illustration
- Creation of animated bumpers, lower thirds, snipes, idents, opening titles, bugs etc.
- Create visually appealing motion graphics working in 2D, 2.5D and 3D space.
Key Deliverables:
- Weekly motion graphic animations using imagery from our photography archive
- Creating animated video from stills and typography
- On demand, quick turn around graphics for topical content
- Graphics for TV programming and channel branding
Skills and Experience Required:
Required
- Motion graphic design and animation
- Kinetic typography
- Basic compositing and colour grading
- Basic video and audio editing
Desirable:
- Photoshop painting and illustration
- Storyboarding
- 3D motion graphics
- Experience in a commercial or TV environment
