IUPUI - Purdue School of Engineering and Technology - Non-Tenure Track Faculty in Motorsports Engineering (Faculty)

The Motorsports Engineering program in the Department of Engineering Technology within the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI is seeking applications for a non-tenure track position, beginning January 1, 2023. The rank may vary depending on the candidate’s qualifications. Duties include teaching courses as well as collaboration with faculty and staff for program improvement. Candidates should have a strong background in motorsports topical areas which may include:

* Vehicle or Aircraft Aerodynamics
* Vehicle Dynamics
* Computer Aided Modeling and Design
* Motorsports or Automotive Simulation
* Vehicle Powertrain Topics
- IC Engines
- Electric or Hybrid

Required qualifications: A master’s degree or higher in motorsports engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field, and the ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, faculty, and staff to perform appropriate service functions at the program and department level.

Preferred qualifications: A minimum three years of relevant professional experience in the motorsports industry; automotive industry or similar. Background in simulation software (e.g., Matlab/Simulink, CFD, Parametric CAD, etc.)
