Five Star Race Car Bodies, a privately held, fast growing expert in manufacturing quality large complex composite race car body panels seeks an impact player and difference maker to join our team as our IT Specialist! You have been described as the “go-to” person more than once in your career. You are the first point of contact for any issue related to Information Technology because you figure things out easily and accurately. You radiate a sense of calm and respect while still maintaining a healthy dose of urgency in your work. You are a hands on leader who is detail oriented while still able to think outside the box when faced with obstacles. You are the resident expert in all aspects related to Information Technology but still have passion to learn something new and fully understand every aspect of this ever fast –moving field. This is not your typical IT Specialist position – We need an IT Specialist who won’t delegate to others, an IT Specialist who thrives in “rolling up his/her sleeves” to do whatever it takes to get every aspect of the job done timely.

IT SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring all technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Direct, manage, supervise and coordinate the activities and operations of all IT and ERP systems including hardware, software, networks , telephone and all computer systems administration
  • Identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost –effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization as well as prepare bid proposals for computer and network equipment and software
  • Coordinates assigned activities with all departments and provides a highly responsible and complex administrative support to the company for all IT needs.
  • Install and configure software, hardware, telephones and printers for all new users and provide training as well as technical support as needed.

IT SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years IT Management, System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • BSC/BA Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related discipline; professional certification
  • Experience of databases, networks (LAN/WAN) and patch management a plus
  • Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and general business processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
