IT Infrastructure Manager

The position:

We are looking to recruit an IT Infrastructure Manager who will be responsible for delivering new IT projects to Williams. The IT Infrastructure Manager will manage the transition of new services and technology into production, working with the IT Support Manager to ensure documentation and training is part of the package delivered to the support group.

Core competencies:

To provide the resources, expertise, processes and systems necessary to provide Williams with high quality, repeatable, effective project delivery at an appropriate cost
To continually strive to improve Williams IT systems and associated services, ensuring technologies are utilised appropriately to provide world-class Infrastructure.
Ensure the Support group have the tools necessary to support systems transitioning to production
Work alongside the IT Systems Architect to recommend and manage improvements and upgrades to IT Services, processes and procedures.
To work with partners and colleagues across the organisation to deliver world-class IT Services.
To support the IT Operations Manager in developing the IT Operations Group capability and capacity to execute required work.
Ensure It infrastructure Technicians provide regular workshops to help develop the skills and knowledge of other IT Operations Group members.
Contribute to an up-to-date Service Catalogue within their areas of expertise.

Core Skills:

Fully competent in core IT skills and technical knowledge required to implement effective IT services.
Hands on technologist who can lead the implementation and upgrade of IT Services.
Understanding of ITIL in order to contribute to IT Department Process Improvement initiative.
Ensure effective evaluation of business risks and issues, aligned to IT Risk Management processes as defined in Williams’ IT Risk Charter; taking appropriate and timely action.
Support IT Operations Manager to develop the IT Operations group to meet changing Williams business requirements.
Support other IT Operations Group personnel and help mentor less experienced team members.
Provide recommendations for improvements to any IT services, to the IT Operations Manager.
