Our IT team is at the heart of the business and works with all functions to ensure we implement and support the best solutions for Bentley.  We know the only way we’ll achieve this goal is by finding the best people and encouraging them to be extraordinary.  As part of the IT Function, the Customer Service Process Department delivers IT solutions, covering all aspects of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales.

Reporting to the IT Key Account Manager, this position holder will work on projects that design, develop and implement web solutions that support our retailer network.  They will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across multiple functions; liaise with the VW Group; and operate with external suppliers.  They will work closely with other IT teams to transform ideas into reality, taking multiple perspectives and best practice into consideration.

In addition, you will have:  

  • Experience of working with Microsoft Web Development Platforms:
    • ASP.NET 3.5, 4.5
    • SharePoint 2016 and web part development
  • Experience of SQL database development using SQLServer or Oracle
  • Experience of implementing and supporting cross browser/device solutions:
    • CSS3, HTML5 and Bootstrap
  • Skills to create web services (e.g. RESTful services) and interact with data formats including:
    • XML, JSON and SOAP
  • Practical experience writing acceptance criteria and being an advocate of test driven development.
  • Proficiency in writing secure and optimised code, with grounding in Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Familiarity using continuous integration tools like Jira and Jenkins.
  • Experience of source control tools like Git and Microsoft Visual Source Safe.
  • Degree in Computing or an equivalent qualification.
