1st Line Support Assistant

We are currently seeking a 1st Line IT Analyst who is passionate about customer service to join our team of highly motivated IT specialists.

The selected candidate will take pride in their role and be able to communicate well within the IT team and F1 team as a whole. The selected candidate will also be able to work well and stay calm in high-pressure situations.

Within this role, the selected candidate will provide service desk and administrative support to the team.

A typical week in the role may consist of the following responsibilities:

  • Field incoming service requests from end users in a courteous and professional manner
  • Document all pertinent end user information and nature of service request
  • Prioritise requests & escalate (when required) to the appropriate 2nd line support person
  • Record, track and document the service request problem-solving process, including all actions taken, through to final resolution
  • Perform at desk & remote fixes, including installing and upgrading software, implementing file backups, and configuring or maintaining systems and applications
  • Utilise service desk and diagnostic tools as appropriate
  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups to service requests
  • Collect and maintain IT hardware & software inventories and maintain compliance data
  • Assist with IT project work if required
  • Field other departmental telephone calls and handle accordingly
  • Maintain departmental calendars, setup and coordinate meetings
  • Maintain departmental intranet content where appropriate
  • Maintain support, project and budget documentation as required
  • Manage purchase requests and monitor order progress
  • Research and obtain quotations for IT consumables and equipment when requested
  • Review and set daily objectives
  • Perform general clerical duties

The selected candidate will have experience within a service desk role and thorough working knowledge of current IT systems and applications from a usage and support perspective. The IT systems and applications will include Microsoft Windows, Office and Active Directory, telephone systems and various hardware platforms.

Knowledge of ITIL and an interest in motorsport would be advantageous.

Within this role the selected candidate will need to be prepared to occasionally work outside of normal working hours. This may include late nights and weekends. Some manual handling of equipment may also be required.
