Role Overview

The Investor Relations Analyst will play a key part in the future of Fisker by ensuring that our differentiated strategy and strong execution are communicated to the investor, analyst, and media community in a clear and effective manner. You will work hand-in-hand on a 2-person team with the VP of Investor Relations, who has 15 years of sell-side equity research and public start-up investor relations experience, and have many opportunities to interact with the entire senior management team to plan public announcements / events and form the overall communications strategy. You will have the opportunity to make a substantial impact to Fisker Inc. and every Fisker team member by generating quantifiable equity market value through development of key messages and supporting materials, by directly impacting ESG efforts of the corporation, and by developing a unique and scalable investor targeting program. 

Responsibilities 

  • Act as Business Partner to the VP of Investment Relations in aligning strategic initiatives and delivery of results 
  • Perform intricate and large-scale financial and market analysis to support materials highlighting Fisker’s unique strategy to unlock large addressable markets and compete effectively with large automakers 
  • Develop, hone, and deliver key messaging and talking points for earnings calls and analyst events 
  • Cultivate cross-functional partnerships across finance, media relations, sales / marketing, engineering, and government affairs to align on corporate communications strategy and plan effective product launch events 
  • Drive meaningful increases in equity value by crafting a unique, scalable, effective investor targeting effort 
  • Lead effort to raise Fisker’s profile with environmental impact and other ESG-forward investment groups 
  • Support development and execution of annual calendar of reporting to Board members and investors 
  • Participate directly in calls / meetings with institutional investors and research analysts 
  • Develop business cases to support sourcing of 3rd-party vendors 

Qualifications  

  • 3 + years of work experience ideally in an investment bank, corporate investor relations department, or ESG-focused management consulting firm 
  • Strong financial foundation, strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills, and data management skills. Experience with financial data services (I.e. Factset, Cap IQ, Bloomberg) a plus. 
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Highly energetic self-starter, driven to succeed, persistent and adept in using metrics to drive performance 
  • Display high proficiency and expertise working with large data sets in Excel 
  • Patience and ability to excel under pressure, handling multiple requests often with tight deadlines 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills 
  • Quick learner who is not in need of step-by-step instructions, ability to take control of projects 
  • The ability to present and communicate work effectively to key constituents in both written and verbal expression 
  • Strategic thinking, breakthrough thinking and creative problem-solving skills, showing an ability to overcome obstacles 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • Prior experience in ESG-focused companies, or related ESG knowledge / experience, is preferred 
  • Auto industry experience not required
