Inventory Cycle Counter

Race Winning Brands has an immediate opening for an Inventory Cycle Counter in Mentor, OH. The Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Duties also include miscellaneous warehouse activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.

Duties and Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:

  • Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials.
  • Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches to locate mis-classified inventory.
  • Assist in receiving and put away process.
  • Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand.
  • Maximize the use of available storage space by consolidating materials as necessary and rearrange inventory throughout the warehouse as needed.
  • Warehouse to warehouse transfers.

Typical Education:

  • High school diploma required
  • One year of manufacturing related experience in shipping and receiving.

Required Job Function Competency:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills in English
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Knowledgeable in pull system and kanban methods

Preferred Job Function Competency:

  • Understanding of continuous improvement methods
  • Broad knowledge of shipping methods and systems

Position Physical Activity Requirements:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Ability to efficiently utilize computer equipment
  • Capable to lift 40-50 lbs. on a routine basis and 70-80 lbs. on occasion, from floor to tabletop height.
  • Sighted individual must be able to read invoice/packing lists.
  • Ability to move throughout the building and manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to process information received via written and verbal.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
