Intern

Like cars? Great writer? Hate boring jobs? Congratulations, you've found your internship. Motorsport Marketing, Inc., publisher of Grassroots Motorsports and Classic Motorsports, is hiring an intern to assist its editorial and marketing departments. Applications submitted without a cover letter or without a completed Indeed.com assessment (emailed to all applicants) will not be considered.

Duties:

Write, photograph and upload content to MMI's digital assets.
Travel to events to cover stories and represent our brands.
Document project builds in the shop.
Okay, there’s some normal intern stuff, too (phone answering and such).

Desired Skills/Experience:

Strong writing and communication skills, particularly in a production environment and requiring little editing by others.
Technical expertise. You won't need to do any coding besides copying/pasting basic HTML tags, but you'll need to be able to quickly learn and adapt to modern software tools and keep up with changing techniques.
Automotive knowledge. You don't need to be an expert on our world, but you'll struggle severely if you can't tell the difference between an E36 and an E46 BMW M3.
Basic Photography skills. We’re not looking for Ansel Adams, but you should be able to tell the difference between a good and a bad photo.
This job requires physical stamina. Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and meet the physical requirements for a racing license to be issued.

Compensation:

Interns at MMI are compensated at $10-$15 per hour depending on experience. Our goal isn’t to get free or cheap labor, it’s to find and train our next full-time employee. Flexible schedules and hours are available. This is an in-house position at our Holly Hill, Florida office.
