THE ROLE

Joining a World Class team of Control and Electronics engineers working on Hardware, Software and Controls solutions in Engine, Transmission, Hybridization and Vehicle control applications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Specification and development of advanced control systems focussing on system level requirements, configuration and integration.

EVERYDAY TASKS WILL INCLUDE

  • Control system requirements capture and management
  • Assessment and capture of system level safety requirements
  • System architecture and electrical integration design and/or implementation
  • System function validation
  • Customer interfacing for technical elements of projects
  • Support for rapid prototyping of control systems Lead resolution of system related issues
  • Ensure application of robust systems safety processes and procedures
  • Support development of opportunities through client interaction and proposal generation

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

SKILLS

  • Significant experience of control system requirements capture and test
  • Significant experience of vehicle electrical systems architecture concepts and design
  • Ability to define vehicle system configurations (including power-train and body system interactions)
  • Strong analytical approach to developing controls systems in an automotive environment
  • Experienced in use of real-time calibration tools
  • Experienced with vehicle based communication protocols, including specification and diagnosis
  • Experienced in test-bed and vehicle based calibration
  • Experience of automotive rapid prototype control system development
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin languages (written and spoken) for project and technical communication

  • Qualified to degree level with technical background in vehicle systems design and development
  • Good knowledge of rapid prototyping control systems
  • Good knowledge of vehicle based electrical systems
  • Good knowledge of vehicle based networking and communications protocols (including CANbus and flexray) beneficial
  • Detailed understanding of transmission, engine, vehicle concepts and operation
  • Literate in IT systems (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of system level safety requirements and related standards (including ISO 26262) beneficial
  • Knowledge of budget and project delivery control
  • Knowledge of system architecture design considerations
