Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
- Development HV Power Electronics product development;
- Responsible for the development and management of documents, specification and component design;
- Ownership of supplier relationship and component delivery;
- Lead the design integration of EV components into vehicle;
- Work with other functional areas to ensure consistent and compatible components are designed;
- Lead the design and development process ensuring that FMEA and Functional Safety are maintained;
- Delivery of a Quality product which will operate during the Lifecyle of the vehicle;
- Development of Diagnostic strategies to support serviceability;
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and colleagues promoting AP and SAP level training where applicable;
Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
- Engineering degree or equivalent;
- Experience in the automotive industry;
- Vehicle Service Diagnostics experienced;
- AP / SAP (Senior Authorised Person;
- Electronics, control systems experience;
- Understanding of vehicle Electrical Architecture and communication protocols such as; CAN / FlexRay / LIN;
- Experience of APQP and product delivery process;
