Role Overview

We are looking for an HV Battery Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role bridging the gap between finance, purchasing, and engineering.

Using your background and knowledge of HV Battery Systems, you will deliver targets for HV Battery components/assemblies, and work with engineering/purchasing to drive towards them. You will build cost models for HV battery components and assemblies, generate ideas for cost reduction and optimization, and work closely with value engineers to build business cases. In addition, you will advise counterparts on the engineering/purchasing teams to optimize material costs.

A background in HV Battery system engineering, manufacturing, or purchasing, is required. In addition, ability to build bottom-up cost models for battery systems is also required.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical experience in HV Battery systems (finance, purchasing, manufacturing or engineering
  • Detailed knowledge of battery chemistries, their pros/cons for both performance and cost
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost drivers for HV Battery components and assemblies
  • Experience building bottom-up cost models
  • Will help define processes and best practices for battery costing
  • Automotive background, knowledge of supply base
  • Experience working with vehicles through all parts of the PEP, from concept to launch
  • Experience working with BOMs
  • Comfortable presenting to key stakeholders and working in cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to be hands-on in benchmarking and teardowns
  • General interest in cars, understanding how a vehicle is engineered and manufactured
  • Prior experience working with BEV’s or hybrid vehicles required
  • Interest in solving new, dynamic problems on a daily basis
  • Excellent personal communication skills
  • Desire to work in a dynamic environment and take ownership of your vision for the future of eMobility

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in Automotive Finance, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering or Similar Technical Field
  • BS or MS in Finance, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering or related technical field
