Your role

Your role will be in the Hospitality team reporting to the Senior Hospitality Manager. 
 
The team is responsible for developing, executing and selling the innovative range of Formula E Hospitality packages and events across more than ten cities globally. 
 
The Hospitality Manager will lead the design, planning and delivery of all on site operational elements for the BOSS | EMOTION CLUB. The role will include coordination of relevant suppliers alongside the Production Team to deliver the fit out and design on time. To provide detailed scheduling with the suppliers and design/ management of all items required to build and deliver the most high-end race day hospitality experience.  

Provide support in the planning of onsite facilities, menu development together with the Hospitality Catering Manager, collation of all Health & Safety/ Food Safety documentation in line with local & global regulations, budget coordination and reconciliation together with the Production and Finance departments. Partner/ client management together with the Senior Hospitality Manager to ensure all bespoke items are delivered to the client’s requirements. 
 
What you will be doing

The candidate alongside the above responsibilities will also be required to: 

  • Lead the design, creative and branding implementation for the BOSS | EMOTION CLUB
  • Coordinate the Formula E Global & Local fit out partners with delivery of EMOTION CLUB
  • Coordinate and support to the Senior Hospitality Manager with managing the fit out providers 
  • Report weekly budget updates for each event, PO raising and invoice management to the Senior Hospitality Manager 
  • Support in the review and collation of all Health and Safety documents and procedures from all relevant hospitality providers on site with the Senior Hospitality Manager and Senior Health and Safety Manager
  • Ownership of the race day schedules and BOSS| EMOTION CLUB entertainment planning
  • Coordinating delivery schedules and build/ derig planning
  • Weekly updates to the Senior Hospitality Manager with budget review, time management and travel planning
  • Coordination and briefing of BOSS | EMOTION CLUB staff
  • Assistance to the rest of the Hospitality team to successfully manage the VIP products at all Formula E events. 

BOSS | EMOTION CLUB – the most premium race day hospitality offered at each Formula E event around the globe offering world class catering with a full day from 10:00-18:00 of food and beverages to the most VIP clients. 
 
Our other products:

  • Race Suites – our private race day suites offered at selected races to the championship teams and partners to host a private area with a reduced catering offer open from 10:00-18:00 
  • Team + Crew – the hosted catering space offered to all staff, teams and partners, suppliers on site during the build and race day with breakfast, lunch and dinner services. Recharged to all accounts other than FE staff
  • Media Centre – a small offer of catering delivered to the Media Centre on Friday and Saturday of race week for the journalists and invited media to enjoy a basic but substantial offer of refreshments
  • Jaguar Race Centre – a hub for the drivers, mechanics and staff of the Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy series, a hybrid of Team + Crew and the BOSS| EMOTION CLUB where guests will also enjoy race day hospitality. 

What we are looking for

You will be an experienced and confident individual capable of working solo and as part of a team. Experience with managing budgets and proven track record to hitting targets. 

  • Strong venue or greenfield site hospitality experience   
  • Ability to stay focused when working solo
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be driven, enthusiastic and able to work with team across all departments and cultures
  • Must be able to manage a high workload whilst maintaining professionalism
  • Readiness to work weekends and travel
  • English - Fluent, other languages are a plus specifically Spanish, French and German.
