Head of Social

Role Purpose

To head up strategy, operations, team and the budget for Social Media for Motorsport Network’s Motorsport brands.

Key brands, across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, include F1 Racing, Autosport, Motorsport.com, Motorsport Images, Motorsport.tv and across 16 markets.

You will join the world's largest sports startup, reaching over 25M Motorsport fans each month through flagship titles like F1 Racing, Motorsport.com and Autosport.

Key Responsibilities

- Global Strategy: Implementing and executing a new strategy for social      media across our flagship motorsport titles
- Team Building: Building and cultivating a team of  around 10 social media experts and content producers.
- Acquisitions & Influencers to build out the network and amplify our brands and content.
- Team Operations: Daily operations, calendar and posting strategy
- Content Strategy for social channels
- Commercial deals for social
- KPIs, reporting and data.

Skills and Experience Required

ESSENTIAL

- At least 8 years of experience managing and growing industry leading brands on social.
- Experience running social media accounts, across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube.
- Experience working with professional sports teams and athletes on an editorial, social and commercial capacity.
- Solid and relationships with Facebook, Google and Twitter. Experience in deal making with these companies.
- Solid track record of monetising social media, and striking content/barter deals with brands.
- Demonstrable experience building Social and content strategies for market leading brands.
- Exceptional Presentation skills, to board and c-level execs.
- Excellent analytical acumen.

PREFERRED

- Experience in deal making and negotiating deals and terms.
- Content strategy in the digital sports space.
- Experience with Google Analytics.
- Experience with Facebook analytics, advertising and FB business manager.
- Experience using social analytics and management
suites.

Knowledge Required

- A passion and deep knowledge of Motorsports, and in particular F1 .
- Google Analytics, native analytics tools within social channels.
- An intimate understanding of monetisation and how to extract value form social media channels.
- A general finger on the pulse of digital and tech trends, in particular in the sports industry.

Qualifications Required

- At least eight years experience in a sports or digital media company.
- Bachelors degree at a minimum.
