Mercedes HPP are seeking an experienced Head of Facilities to work in our Brixworth Factory. Your core purpose will be the day to day management of quality, delivery, budgets, and continuous improvement, along with creating and leading strategic improvement for facility and plant management, legislative requirements and HSE departments amongst others.

If You're successful in this role, you'll...

  • Fully integrate into the management and Facilities team – creating credibility and the perception as the ‘go to’ person with regards to any Facilities topic
  • Have a full understanding of your area’s accountabilities, deliverables, and the drivers/inputs that can drive change to them
  • Have created and got stakeholder ‘buy in’ to an overall Facility strategy to ensure the Facility, Infrastructure, and Service Delivery meet current and future business requirements
  • Have full understanding of the business, processes, and how it functions
  • Have shown demonstrable increases in ‘value for money’ for service deliverables

Core responsibilities will include...

  • Day to day management of quality, delivery, budgets, and continuous improvement for the following areas;
    • Facility and Plant Maintenance Team – PPM and Reactive team to maintain fabric and plant for office, workshop, manufacturing, test operations, and clean room environments areas
    • Machine Tool Maintenance Team – PPM, TPM, and Reactive team to maintain diverse set of manufacturing machines and process equipment
    • Facilities Engineering – Team to create new, modify, and optimise buildings, plant, and infrastructure to meet current/future stakeholder, legislative, and business requirements
    • Health, Safety, and Environment Team – manage, lead, champion overall site HSE culture and toolset to meet business and legislative requirements. Agile and the ‘Go To’ experts.
    • Integrated Management System (IMS) Leadership – manage, lead, champion our business certifications. This includes coordination of internal and external audits, confirmation checks, re-certifications, possible changes to certifications, as well as being the ‘Go To’ experts.
    • Capital Projects – manage Facility related capital projects to agreed QCT targets
    • Site Services Team – Manage all site services (Cleaning, Security, Waste, Landscaping, etc.) delivery across site through effective contract management
    • Catering and Events – manage our catering service and staff events

  • Leading a Facilities Team in a highly technical and agile business (motorsport, aerospace, R&D, etc.)
  • Strategic facility and services planning
  • Managing and championing business applicable certifications
  • Managing and championing Health, Safety, and Environment for the business
  • Managing and negotiation of service contracts
  • Programme management of large complex capital projects
  • Managing operational and capital budgets
  • Asset management and optimisation
  • Customer focussed service delivery – stakeholder engagement
  • Change management

Demonstrate knowledge of...

  • Managing diverse teams and service contracts – examples of KPIs and CI plans
  • Technical Facility/Plant Management – Manufacturing, Test Operations, Clean Room Environments, etc.
  • Statutory legislative requirements for building and site management
  • ISO 9001, ISO14001, OSHAS18001 (ISO45001), ISO 50001
  • Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Creating and leading strategic improvement for facility and plant management, legislative requirements and HSE

Hold these qualifications...

  • Degree or significant experience in Facility or Building Management related field
  • NEBOSH qualification – diploma preferred, certificate minimum
  • BIFM – member, PD courses, or equivalent
