Your responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains a high performing team with a philosophy of continuous improvement within an environment of accountability and measurability.
  • Provides leadership, strategic direction, coaching and development to a multi-functional team that consists of several specialties.
  • Lead strategic Channel Sales Managers to profitably grow Bilstein within the assigned Sales channels
  • Oversee all strategic Channel Sales Managers’ business plans and account activity
  • Understand and communicate information on all Bilstein product lines
  • Effectively manage contractual agreements relating to terms and conditions of sale; pricing, returns, credits and deductions
  • Develop, implement and execute customer business plans
  • Lead major projects and coordinate internally with appropriate cross-functional business unit leaders
  • Work with Bilstein Insights and customer on market analysis to identify potential growth opportunities
  • Resolve all customer issues while balancing customer expectations against solutions in the best interest of Bilstein
  • Manage in the best interest of the company all assets assigned and utilize good judgement in the commitment and spending of company funds
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with company, customer and industry personnel
  • achieve targets of the top five objectives (turnover, margin, accounts receivables, market share, new customers)
  • optimize distribution channels between B to B and B to C.
  • define and monitor agreements with customers, (sales planning, turnover, margin, conditions (pricing, rebate, bonus, terms of payment and terms of delivery)
  • planning of turnover and sales by part number
  • coordination/support of promotion activities (trade shows, events, trainings, and customer visits)
  • regular analysis (market, competition, pricing, conditions, promotions activities) to derive respective concepts and strategies thereof
  • set-up, development and guiding of the importers/distributors
  • regular exchange with Product Management, Marketing, Training, Back-office, Controlling, Bookkeeping and Management)
  • regular documentation/communication of market data
  • regular feedback meetings with superior
  • increase of business within NAFTA
  • collaborate with Bilstein Germany Business Unit lead within a matrix reporting structure
  • regular participation within the company regarding continuous improvements
  • observing, keeping and permanent improvement of internal environmental and health and safety standards at work and its targets

 

Your profile

  • 7-10 years of sales experience
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience leading a cross functional team
  • Automotive industry knowledge is a must; with good technical understanding
  • Aftermarket industry knowledge is a must; with good understanding of the shock absorber market.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced team oriented environment; apply critical thinking principles and remain flexible
  • Attention to details and accuracy with strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Be Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferr
