Graphics Engineer

Description

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to strengthen our development team at Studio 397. As part of Motorsport Games, we develop both the rFactor 2 racing simulation and the core simulation technology that underpins all MSG games on PC and consoles. We are looking for people with a deep passion for racing simulation as well as motorsport.

Studio 397 works as a distributed team from home, physically scattered, so you will need to be comfortable working with team members in different time zones.

The ideal candidate has experience working in one or more graphics engines and preferably has experience building their own engines.

  • To analyze, design, implement, document and test code as part of the development team working on rFactor 2.
  • To work closely with our environment art and vehicle teams on tooling and graphics features.
  • To collaborate with the development team and other departments to ensure features get properly implemented both from a technical and functional point of view.
  • To proactively strive to improve our overall processes and development practices.

Requirements

  • Experience in DirectX 11+
  • C++
  • GPU and shader programming
  • Git and LFS
  • Atlassian Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo
  • Microsoft Windows, Linux
