Graduate CFD Engineer

Alpine F1 Team are looking for a diligent, self-motivated and passionate Graduate CFD Engineer to join their 2022 Graduate program. Applicants are expected to be on track for a first-class degree in a related subject, with a proven record of strong IT/Computational Science skills.

The Role

The successful Graduate will assist the CFD group in performing and supporting CFD simulations for the Aerodynamics department. They will help post-process and analyse the outcomes of those simulations to provide design direction.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Applying and testing understanding of the resources/accuracy trade-off for various types of CFD simulations
• Applying and testing latest CFD tools from the CFD group and software, providing sound functional feedback to developers

The Person

Alpine are looking for someone with excellent understanding of CFD principles, methods and application.

Diligence and attention to detail are a must, as are exceptional team working skills. The Graduate will be liaising with other members of the CFD group on a daily basis as well as working to a high level autonomously.

It is essential that candidates are able to perform actions as an engaged team member, using business tools to communicate findings and asking for help in good time when required.

A willingness to take responsibility for designated tasks is a must.
