Responsibilities 

  • This Corporate Supplier Quality role is to ensure the successful execution of global supplier quality management processes & standards, which is designed for customer centered quality culture.
  • This position is to understand the baseline of current supplier quality performance, and lead the team, collaborate with the plant quality team, and cross functional team to drive YoY supplier quality improvement.
  • This position is to explore, develop and share best practice within the region and globally io develop a world-class quality team to develop and ensure supplier’s performance 
  • Support growth, make where we sell strategy and supplier foot-print optimization 
  • Represent Fisker as the key Supplier Quality Champion globally
  • Execute global supplier quality management process 
  • Drive supplier quality Improvement YoY for supplier quality KPIs such as # of cases of JIRA concerns
  • Lead and push supplier to work out a practical quality plan (PPAP, SQA-015, QCP) by leveraging milestones to ensure a timely (PPAP) process
  • Develop and define a process and proper resources from both supplier the Fisker team to audit the quality plan, and make sure supplier will100% execute
  • Develop and lead the charge to solve major quality concerns effectively for the plant and customers.
  • Hire, retain and develop global supplier quality talent as the need grows

Work with supplier for continues improvement includes:

  • Address and follow up the open issues after Product Launch.
  • Implement Engineering Change and assist in proper change management
  • Request/support Engineering Change from the supplier side
  • Root Cause analysis (finish bone, 5W, 8D)
  • 6 sigma project development

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree required, Masters’ Degree Preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in Supplier Quality and Supplier Development preferably in Automotive
  • Customer-service mindset with an exceptional “can-do” and service-oriented attitude
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail while handling multiple, simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Strong strategic thinking and honed analytical skills - able to help others make connections and see the big picture
  • Familiar with common international certification related industry standards (e.g. ISO9001, QS9000, IATF16949, VDA)
  • Well trained with six sigma methodology, Green Belt minimum
  • Successful track record of quality management and improvement
  • Must have a balance of both reactive and proactive characteristics 
  • Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment
  • Experience leading diverse and remote teams
  • Multi-lingual (English, moderate understanding of Mandarin and/or Spanish is highly preferable)
