Tasks
- Responsibility for Functional Safety and relevant Automotive Safety activities
- Analyzing the impact of ISO26262 releases and creating Functional Safety awareness across the department
- Performing safety management activities according to relevant standards during all project phases
- Leading and coordinating creation of functional safety documentation according ISO 26262 as well as developing safety plans to ensure compliance
- Specifying detailed safety requirements, including diagnostic and software requirements
- Collaborating with project managers, development team and customers on Functional Safety
- Conducting reviews with product teams to ensure that the functional safety standards are met throughout product development cycles
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or informatics or an equivalent education
- Several years of professional experience in Safety relevant software development projects and software quality processes
- Many years of experience in automotive processes and requirements, engineering experience is considered a plus
- Good knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety Standard as well as quality and safety analysis processes such as FMEA and FTA, accreditation is a plus
- Basic knowledge of requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS
- English language is mandatory and German language is considered a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as a high affinity for delivering first-quality engineering services to the customer
- Willingness to travel
