Freight Compliance Officer

The position:
We are looking to recruit a Freight Compliance Officer who will be responsible for the compliance of all Admin aspects of the logistical transportation of goods across the Group.

The role:
- This varied role will include but will not be limited to ensuring all Staff have the correct documentation, Visas, permits, passports / ID and licenses and are fully qualified for any Vehicle and, or goods before departure.
- You must be familiar with all Company Import / Export requirements of HMRC in order to be able to satisfy any HMRC Audit.
- Relationship building is a key part of the role and will involve working with Managers in various positions including but not limited to Car Build Managers and Race and Events Team Coordinators and Accounts.

You will also: -
• Capture and record all Company Imports / Exports, Duty / Tax payable documentation and file for Audit.
• Capture, identify and assist with Vehicles and Goods Transportation documentation across the Company
• Design and implement processes and procedure to ensure freight shipments are compliant to UK and international regulations.
• Keep up to date with additional Brexit requirements as required.
• Organise and implement any required staff documentation training, including Known Consignor Training, ensuring all staff are always compliant.
• Achieve all responsibilities and tasks on time and within budget.

Core competencies:
• Experience in Transport Logistics
• Experience in HMRC import and Export requirements for Audit.
• Transport Managers CPC desirable
• Good Admin experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills - to both give and receive information
• Good I.T Skills – MS Word, Excel. Chorus and or equivalent
