Formula 1 EMBEDDED SYSTEMS ENGINEER

You will have a central role in all FIA F1 activities related to embedded electronic systems,
from the analysis and homologation of embedded hardware and software for cars and
power units to the instigation of strategies for future embedded electronic architectures, the
definition of future regulations, and the support for our FIA team at the race track. This will
notably involve:
- Coordinating and carrying out extensive pre-season and in-season checks of on-car and
power unit software and hardware to verify compliance with technical and sporting
regulations,
- Managing the process for car and power unit embedded software and hardware
homologation in F1,
- Developing software on multiple platforms to support the FIA monitoring activities in F1
and other championships,
- Taking a proactive role in the definition of on-car electronic hardware and software
architectures, including electronic systems managed by the FIA, the teams and other
suppliers,
- Supporting the definition of regulations associated with electrical and electronic
embedded systems,
- Supporting our FIA team at F1 races and tests when required.

Profile:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent expert level in embedded software or
electronic engineering,
- Technical: real-time embedded electronic hardware and software systems, complex
multi-system architectures, embedded software development in multiple low and high
level languages (including assembler, C, Simulink), microcontroller architectures and
memory technologies, reviewing embedded electronic designs and embedded software
- Design experience of Motorsport (F1 preferably) embedded electronics, software and
control systems for chassis and powertrain would be an advantage
- A logical thinker with a calm demeanour and positive attitude, excellent organisation
and communication skills
- You have demonstrated an ability to learn continuously, work autonomously and in the
strictest confidence, and make decisions
- Native or fluent English speaker ; French optional
The position will be based in our headquarters in Geneva and will involve some travel to the
race track, suppliers, teams and power unit manufacturers facilities.
