POSITION SUMMARY: Under close supervision, perform basic MIG and TIG welding in the fabrication of mufflers and exhaust components. Perform in-line inspection to ensure conformance to requirements.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Perform production line assembly and welding of mufflers and muffler components.
2. Demonstrate job knowledge regarding location and identification of parts and numbering system.
3. Proficient in tacking cases and performing weld patterns on primaries, and able to construct sub-assemblies and pipe hangers.
4. Maintain clean and safe work area.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Possess standard MIG and TIG welding skills.
