We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Simulation Engineer to join the Performance Department at the Ferrari Formula 1 team headquarters in Maranello. In this role you will play a major role in the design, implementation, testing and deployment of innovative, proprietary simulation tools to provide a competitive advantage in the prediction, analysis and optimization of vehicle dynamics.
Desired Skills and Experience
You will have at least three years’ experience in the development of simulation algorithms gained in a challenging environment where innovation and pace of development are paramount. You will have a strong mathematical and engineering background and a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, or Physics. We require knowledge of simulation methods in the fields of applied mechanics, control engineering, optimization and applied statistic. You will have a strong interest in programming and in delivering engineering software; C++ proficiency will be an advantage. You must enjoy working as part of a small team, and be prepared to engage with key users to understand their needs, propose solutions, and encourage the adoption of new capability. An appreciation of vehicle design is very helpful in ensuring we take simulation forward in a direction sympathetic to the practical challenges in designing and operating a Formula 1 racing car.
Fluency in English is a must-have, and a good level of Italian an advantage for full integration.
