Ferrari F1 Team / Senior CATIA Support Engineer (Maranello)

We are currently looking for a Senior CATIA Support Engineer to join at the Ferrari Formula 1 Team offices in Maranello (Italy) working in the Chassis Design offices, reporting to the Head of Design Methodology.
In this role you will provide at-elbow CAD Support to the F1 chassis designers, define CAD/PDM and PLM methodologies and roll-out process improvements to ensure efficient use of the CAD/PDM and PLM tools available. You will also investigate new tools and technologies, develop advanced CATIA training courses, supporting documentation and assist in ensuring smooth system deployments (along with bug fixes and testing). In more detail, for example, you will work with engineers who are designing all aspects of the F1 chassis including; gearbox, suspension, cooling, fuel and hydraulic systems, all composite parts and related tooling plus experimental parts for bench testing. You will be required to present new solutions and deployment changes on the system to the design groups.

Desired Skills and Experience

In order to succeed in this challenging and multi-tasking role, we are looking for an experienced CATIA Support engineer. Following your engineering degree, ideally gained with outstanding academic merit, you have built a track-record an expert CATIA V5 or V6 Engineer with at least 7-years’ of experience (and potentially more). 
Ideally you have experience in the following advanced CATIA workbenches; CPM, CPE, IMA, FS1 (or similar), Knowledgeware and have done some CATScript or Visual Basic automation in CATIA.
Technically, we require you to be an expert in CATIA V5; Sketcher, Part and Assembly Design, Generative Shape Design, and with mandatory strong skills in DMU and Kinematics workbenches. Experience in using enterprise level PDM and PLM systems would be an advantage.
Above all you are clearly experienced in working in an environment where precision, acting in a structured and effective manner is key, capable of multi-tasking and where budget, decisions and timings are challenged daily. Therefore a hands-on, practical and pro-active approach is necessary. Your further competences include anticipation, precision, and delivering succinct recommendations. You have a high level of agility and resilience, used to working in an engineering environment, and of course excellent communication and interrelation-skills in order to work at all levels in the team, from shop floor production staff to senior management. 
Fluency in English is required, and Italian is an advantage for your full local integration.
