Position Purpose

Perform daily maintenance activities for track buildings and grounds; assist with facility/event setup and tear down; operate track cleaning equipment; painting and minor track building repairs; general facility maintenance duties as required.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Provide day to day upkeep for the facilities & grounds including but not limited to cleaning, painting, mowing, trimming.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
  • Apply paint, surface preparatory materials, and undercoating materials as appropriate. Washes, scrapes, sands, or smooths surfaces prior to painting.
  • Other facility maintenance duties as required, including track rental setup and tear down.
  • Operates equipment as needed, including but not limited to track sweeper, debris blower units, forklifts, and mowers.
  • Be available for additional track duties as assigned.

  • Fulfillment of Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks within budget parameters.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Maintain a valid Drivers License.

Work Requirements

  • Hours will vary but will include all hours of operation, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary to attend events and to fulfill job responsibilities. Acceptance of work hours customary in the field of sport/entertainment is necessary.
