Executive, B2B Sales and Merchandise

Purpose of the Role:

McLaren sells a wide range of consumer merchandise and licensed products through authorised resellers, B2B activities and an expanding eCom business.

The primary purpose of the role is to support the B2B Specialist in the day to day running of the department and provide administrative support to the wider licensing and Merchandise team. Providing excellent administrative support the role will contribute to deliver sales and profitability growth.

The role will involve working with a wide variety of contacts at all levels – across McLaren Racing and our Sponsor Partners,

Role Dimensions:

Permanent position - Full time - Woking based with some flexible working

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to day to day merchandise enquiries from partners and the wider McLaren group.
  • Support on order process from enquiry through to delivery and invoice stages.
  • Manage day to day communications with suppliers over product developments, order placements and deliveries.
  • Manage sign off of co-branding proofs and product with your manager and relevant partners
  • Manage customer order critical paths and communications updates on orders ensuring on time and on spec deliveries
  • Co-ordinate global freight channels to ensure deliveries to partners are prompt, orders complete and shipping quotes are accurate.
  • Proactively contribute to sell in activations and optimise partner opportunities
  • Support and co-ordinate all sales campaigns, order follow up and comms reporting on any campaign results and success / lessons learnt
  • Support and help develop products in line with specific partner activations and partner profiles
  • Arrange partner sales meetings and compile meeting notes, follow up and action points
  • Work collaboratively with your counterparts in Partnerships activation team
  • Maintain and update B2B sales assets throughout the season
  • Responsible for the B2B sales platform data and asset management, daily updates of stock levels, promotions, customer account information, CRM and all general administrative tasks associated with the sales e-portal platform
  • Liaise with finance team on supplier and customer set up process
  • Raise all department purchase orders in the internal system
  • Enter all sales orders onto stock management system and produce sales orders, delivery notes and customs invoices.
  • Monitor stock levels and forecast sales / manage replenishment alerts
  • Run monthly sales and pipeline reports

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge and skills working on Windows computers, including Microsoft packages (particularly Excel). Experience on photoshop / illustrator is preferable.
