Event Technician

Join the leading Driving Experience company in the UK, with more than 200 supercars, including manufacturers such as Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Audi, McLaren etc., has an exciting opportunity for an individual that has an interest in all aspects of Motorsport & Multi-Media.

The primary responsibility of the Event Technician is to check the support rigs for our visits to race circuits all over the UK including Goodwood Motor Circuit, Top Gear Test Track, Brands Hatch, Castle Combe & Oulton Park to name but a few. Each rig consists of three Windows 10 Pro laptops, a Windows 10 Pro Photo Server, on-site Dye-sub printing, Wi-Fi network and a point of sale system. Upon attending the event you will be responsible for setup of all equipment and ensure it is working perfectly the day before and be the first point of contact for all support queries about the rig and In-Car video equipment during the event. Whether the support call is about hardware or software you are required to be adaptable and to think quickly on your feet to ensure any issues are resolved swiftly. After the event you will be responsible for packing down the equipment and it’s return.

The secondary responsibility is to make sure that each of the rigs have enough peripheral supplies, place orders for consumables as required, to keep track of stock levels of such items and to keep your area clean and tidy.

The job will be predominantly 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday based at our head office, but between March and October we need you to attend events a minimum of 2 out of 4 weekends all over the UK. On away events transport and overnight accommodation will be provided, and some food expenses will be paid for. All weekend work will be paid in addition to the salary. We can provide plenty of weekend work to bump up your basic salary to a very good living standard if required.

  • Full UK Drivers license and access to a vehicle.

Some of the skills you will need are:

  • Basic understanding of Windows 10
  • A basic understanding of networks (TCP/IP, WAN, LAN)
  • Basic knowledge of Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Good troubleshooting skills and to think logically under pressure
