Event Staff / Security

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Maintains physical security program elements as directed.

Promotes pro-active security.

Coaches those less experienced in established security responsibilities and procedures.

Conducts security inspections as directed.

Controls and reduces security risk through education and preventive measures.

Assists with accident investigations, reports on findings, makes recommendations and takes corrective actions as directed.

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION 

Law Enforcement, military or previous security experience desirable. 

Some knowledge of general security standards helpful. 

Leadership skills desirable. 

Operations experience at a large sports / entertainment venue helpful.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 

Ability to write reports and business correspondence if necessary.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. 
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with all levels within the organization. 
Ability to multi-task and to meet deadlines.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

Good organizational skills.
Ability to stand in one location and/or walk during all types of weather for extended periods of time.
Ability to work extended shifts (more than 12 hours) as necessary. 
Flexible as to work location / assignment and shift duration.

 Ability to be in close proximity to and function around moving vehicles, loud noises and large crowds. 

Ability to meet additional requirements as added/modified.
