Event, Sales and Marketing Manager

Williams is one of the world’s leading Formula 1 teams. It exists purely to race in the top echelon of motor racing, where it has been winning Grands Prix for more than three decades. The Williams name has been synonymous with top-level motorsport since the 1960s.

The position:

We are looking to recruit an Event Sales & Marketing Manager to generate external event revenue through proactive sales and marketing activity for our newly refurbished Experience Centre at our Headquarters in Grove.

The role:

As we look to build our customer base and increase both repeat and incremental sales, we are looking for someone to devise and implement marketing campaigns to attract and convert inbound business.

You will be passionate about events, hospitality and motorsport and be working closely with our Guest Experience & Event teams to build out a calendar of events to sell. Being the first point of contact for all enquiries, you will be personable, proactive in your approach, meticulous in your planning and excel in all forms of written and verbal communication.

You will manage the relationship with our ticket provider and be responsible for our event booking system and invoicing across our events.

We will need you to continually evaluate gaps in the market, identifying new opportunities for continued business success.

Core competencies:

To excel in the role, you will have previous experience in a similar sales role with a desire to really drive forward your career. No two days are the same so being adaptable to requirements is essential. Due to the nature of the industry, the role will require working across some evenings and weekends. This is not a role which will require race travel, however, travel to industry events, trade shows and exhibitions will be required.

Core Skills:

You will have previous experience in a similar event sales role with a desire to really drive forward your career. Motorsport experience not essential.
